Allow multiple references to holding register for bit extraction

Given a 16bit integer holding register, in certain instances we only care for specific bits rather the integer value. Using the bitmap allows the selection of those specific bits but you can only reference the register once. i.e. In data selection you cannot add points to stream bit 3 and 6 from a referenced word. The work around it to pull the word into PI and use Asset analytics to create individual points for each bit however there is a lot of merit to be able to do this from the data selection process.

This should not be just for Modbus TCP. We have multiple cases where this functionality would be helpful within the OPC UA adapter as well.

Thank you for your feedback. If I'm understanding the request, you are hoping to reference the same holding register in your data streams but differentiate it by using different offset values. If so, this is something we can considering for the next version of the Modbus Adapter. If that is not what you are asking for, please let us know in more detail in the comments below.

In this example here, you would not be able to isolate any channels individually. Would make sense to be able to do it from the adapter ingress data selection
