Allow drag drop replacement of X or Y variables in XY charts

XY Charts are very versatile and allow substantial customization, from setting time ranges to point types, sizes, and colors.  Once considerable effort has been invested into customizing a plot to ones satisfaction, it is common to want to copy/paste that chart again and then simply change the data sources.  Right now, the XY Chart only allows you to add additional X or Y variables and then delete the old ones, but when you do this all of the settings return to their defaults.  I think it would be extremely valuable if, rather than adding a new series and deleting the old ones, an attribute could be dragged over an existing X or Y variable and swap/replace it, while preserving all of the settings.
