Ua Server force failover / improve failover logic

Let me preface this by saying that I know it is a workaround for a non-compliance with the OPC UA specifications. The point is that the situation described below is unfortunately all too common and the workaround is needed. It often happens that t...

Prevent PI Adapter for OPC UA from modifying/override stream overrides and metadata upon restart

Problem: I have configured PI Adapter for OPC UA to collect data from an OPC UA Server. Since UoMs are not assigned properly, I created stream overrides in AVEVA Data Hub to assign the proper UoM to the particular stream. I also associated stream ...

Detect and monitor which OPC UA server the PI Adapter is connected to

When configuring a PI Adapter to leverage server-level redundancy, it is not currently possible to monitor which server instance the PI Adapter is connected to. Surfacing this information would allow server administrators to better monitor the hea...

PI Adapter for OPC UA should preiodically retry to subscribe to each node for which subscription failed at startup

Currently the PI Adapter for OPC UA tries to subscribe to all the OPC UA nodes configured in the Data Selection configuration at startup. However, when as issue occurs during the subscription to an OPC UA node, that node will not be included in da...

PI Adapter for OPC UA should send the previous value when it has been with the same value for a long time

"This enhancement request proposes a solution to address the issue of data interpolation between two values far apart in time in adapter data collection. The suggestion is to include the value right before the new data point, ensuring the fidelity...

Specific debug log levels to troubleshoot specific issues

Similar to PI Interfaces (/DB for opcint), adapters should allow setting some additional debugging to troubleshoot specific issues, instead of only allowing a general LogLevel (Information, Trace, Warning, etc.) This would allow for more granular ...

Enable Adapter for OPC UA to use the Pub/Sub method

Pub/Sub is proposed to be a more efficient and scalable method of transferring data using OPC UA. Allowing the adapter to access data in this way would increase the options for data collection, and allow the OPC UA adapter to be used in many more ...

When using debug mode level tracing in opc ua, can we get a dump of the client settings and data source settings in the log file that are being used so we know the context of that session?

it will tell us exactly the full context the adapter is operating in when it starts up and connects to the data source.
