Improve Onscreen Keyboard Select for PI Manual Logger Web

Currently the onscreen keyboard selection is defaulted to the alphabet keyboard. PI ML Web should be able to look at a tag and determine what kind of keyboard should be displayed. For example, if we are entering data for a numeric tag (e.g. int32), present a numeric keypad.

    Thanks for attaching this workaround. Just curious what Workaround#! is. I see the second Workaround in the attached document.

    The first workaround was to avoid the group collapse/expand state from being reset in grid view when dialog messages appear when limits gets violated. Also, with iOS 12, numeric HTML tag is working. You can add numeric tag to vm.tourrun.js file for numeric keyboard to come up. Also, no exception messages occur when decimals nad negative values are entered. The key is to have iOS 12 to apply this workaround. And of course, these workarounds do have a disclaimer. Its a change done only on our end and not at OSISoft. I have attached both workarounds.

    Thanks Fatima, I don't see any workaround attached to this entry. This did not work with a custom keyboard since we have a QR code scan in our workflow. The latest version of Manual Logger web still has outstanding issues (Could not connect error) that we are trying to resolve.

    Currently, while using Manual logger on iPads, alphabet keyboard comes up while entering values and users have to toggle to number keypad each time while moving over from one tag to another to enter values. OSIsoft provided a workaround for this by modifying vb script files on Manual logger server. However, this workaround doesn't work for decimals and negative values as the workaround restricts number range from [0-9]. We would like to see this taken care of in future releases. We would like to see respective keyboard coming up as per the data type. Number keyboard for analog tags and alphabet keyboard for string tags.(attached workaround which was provided by OSIsoft)
