This may have already been identified in this thread but a rate of change between two cursors would be very useful as well, ie, for a temperature trend I want to mark point 1 and point 2 and have a display of degrees F/minute.
When analysing trends, there can be times to compare or summarise the period between them, as in investigating process upsets or optimization opportunities.
There should be a way to select the cursors, and the associated stats show in a tabular format e.g. under the trend's x axis label.
Process engineers, operators and I&C (Instrumentation and Controls) engineers are those who stand to benefit the most, as users.
The Deltas could have also percentage change in brackets: (+/-%) with Green colour for positive and Red for negative change (or other colour-blindness equivalent set of colours)
This feature was in Wonderware ActiveFactory Trends. We recently migrated to PI & are using PI Vision, it sure would be nice to see the feature brought over as Aveva owns both PI and Wonderware.
