support querying by pipoint attributes

As a user, with points in different pointsources, I would like to use PI Point Query Syntax to specify a specific point source. Since Vision 2020 is now using AFSDK instead of crawler, the search text box should allow ability to search by any query syntax permitted. Without this capability, users will drag historical tags onto the screen, and then wonder why the tag is failing to update, or is "Scan-Off". In the absence of this capability, when a single tag is selected in the search result, the ability to right click to context menu (or displaying this information in the Attributes pane) with this type of information would be helpful.

In ProcessBook, the search function was very advanced and we could search by any field. For instance I often need to find a tag based on the InstrumentTag field. With out this function PI Vision is almost useless toy for me. I will curse using it. It lost a lot of function that Processook had. So sad. I've resisted moving to PI Vision for a long time, and now I'm almost forced to. Based on what our company pays for support, we may consider switching to a different historian if Aveva doesn't step it up and make PI Vision as powerful and functional as Processbook was.
